To automatically start the application when your computer starts (or restarts) you can use the settings provided under 'Recovery / Autostart' section on the AllSkEye settings tab:

autostartsettings.zoom66

What this will do:

It will automatically create a shortcut in your computers 'Startup' folder
This shortcut will be executed every time your computer starts
AllSkEye will start and immediately connect the camera and start the acquisition and processing loops when this happens.

Show Full Screen Preview on Auto Start (PRO Feature)

To automatically show the external full screen preview window when the application auto starts, the 'Show Preview when app auto starts' tick box must be ticked:

AutoStartSettingsLaunchPreview

For full details on the full screen preview feature please see here.

Manually Create Shortcut to Auto Start Acquisitions (normally not required use above functionality)

For some scenarios (start AllskEye from another app or if you have a second AllSkEye instance with a separate camera) it might useful to manually create a shortcut which when double clicked will start AllSkEye and immediately start acquisitions and processing. This can be useful if the application is automatically started as an automated task. It can be achieved by supplying the following command line parameter to the application:

autostartacquisition

Please note that when 'auto starting' acquisitions the application will utilize the camera that was last used for continuous acquisitions on a previous run. This means that you have to run the camera to be used for auto start at least once (only for a few seconds) under continuous operation before the auto start will work (to allow the application to save the last used camera).

To supply command line parameters to the application:

Create a shortcut to the AllSkEye.exe file
Right click the shortcut and select 'Properties' from the context menu
Under 'Target' add the required parameters at the end of the file path (after the double quotes)

applicationshortcut.zoom60

To automatically launch this shortcut when Windows starts you can copy it to the computers startup folder (although you should really use the auto start function via the settings described above to do this). To open the starup folder in Windows 10 you can click on the WIndows icon in the bottom left corner and type 'Run' and click enter. This will open the 'Run' app where you can enter SHELL:STARTUP and click OK. This will open your startup folder.
